Its name translates into English as “Oil Mill”. Appropriately, Frantoio used to be the compound in which farmers stocked and pressed olives from the surrounding groves. In 1994, as did the rest of the property, Frantoio benefited from the conservative restoration that renovated and modernized its living and working spaces dating back to the early 1900’s. It is positioned at the bottom of the olive grove in the quietest and most relaxing surroundings; its hamlet-like conformation with tree lines and ancient wall boundaries evokes the relaxing pleasure of timeless rural living.
This part of the property sits right at the edge of the olive grove, it is composed of two separate buildings, each with its own fenced garden and parking spaces. The views from Maggesi range from the olive grove to the rising top of Monte Argentario, to the tree-lined country driveways. All the apartments have independent access through the gardens and are at close proximity to their respective parking spaces.
A good portion of the building is at our company’s disposal, as of now, 7 apartments normally rented out on a yearly basis. The units facing South enjoy beautiful views of the underlying vale and the marina of Cala Galera. The other units, overlook countryside landscapes, the actual summit of Monte Argentario and the masted driveway that also contains the apartments’ parking spots.
